Seventy-five-year-old Yeo Chan Hock was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2009. His erratic mood swings and memory loss took a toll on his family, especially his wife, the main caregiver.
Matters vastly improved when Mr Yeo enrolled in the Silver Circle Senior Care Centre, where he could participate in specially designed therapy programmes.
Julie Tay, a part-time Senior Care Assistant with NTUC Health’s Care@home service, is just one of the many dedicated professionals who provide services for the elderly. Julie’s job takes her to homes of elderly clients where she can care for them as she would her own parents.
